This week Channel 4 brings you five very different people, with five
very different lives but one shared dream in Hajj - the Greatest
Trip on Earth.
Our pilgrims, Serfraz Qayyum, Kosser Shiekh, Aamer Chaudhary, Hallalah Hasam and Mohammed Alawadi have all now arrived in Mecca.
In our special on Saturday night we saw Kosser, the young mother and career woman from London arrive in Mecca and become overwhelmed at seeing the Holy Mosque for the first time.
As she walks towards the Mosque she admits she is full of emotion and is speechless.
Serfraz, the father of two from Middlesborough was clearly excited to be in Mecca.
It's a life changing experience just being here, you're so focused, so sharp, so conscious about God you know he's watching you he's with you all the way and that feeling is just great.
Serfraz Qayyum: clearly excited to be in Mecca
Hallalah flies in from the US with her mother and aunt and settles into their hotel in Mecca.
They find out that the number of US pilgrims is down on last year but are finding everyone very friendly.
In a call home to his wife Serfraz discovers his newborn baby is unwell and suddenly he feels very far away.
How will our pilgrims cope with the arduous journey from Mecca to Mina? See them set off into the Saudi desert with millions of their Muslim brothers and sisters on Monday at 7.50pm on Channel 4.
Hajj - The Greatest Trip on Earth will screen every night this
week from 7.50pm. If you miss it there will be a special omnibus on
Saturday night from 7.30pm only on Channel 4.
