Decoding Da Vinci

Decoding Da Vinci

The Da Vinci Code film

Decoding Da Vinci was last shown on Channel 4 in October 2006.

The series is for those who've seen the film, whether or not they have read the book; for those who've read the book, and may (or may not) want to see the film; and for those who will never do either.... but still wonder if any of it could be true.

It is not an attempt to dismantle or undermine The Da Vinci Code it is more like a reference, the place where the inquisitive viewer will find answers to all the questions posed by the story.

By exploring where the author got his ideas and information from, and examining the evidence for his ideas, Decoding Da Vinci, will not only cut through the confusion but enrich the Da Vinci experience.

The series divides the mysteries of the The Da Vinci Code into three groups; the secret and secretive organisations that give the novel both intrigue and credibility; the codes and symbols that drive the narrative; and the novel's very essence and primary source of controversy, the sacred feminine.

The Da Vinci Code, starring Tom Hanks, opened simultaneously in 71 territories worldwide on May 18th 2006. The book has sold nearly 3.5m copies in the UK alone. It is now without any doubt the most successful work of fiction ever written.
