Tom and StefanieIn the US, half-siblings Tom (40) and Stefanie (37) are also head over heels in love, beginning every day with an illicit phone call.
Their story too has the hallmarks of genetic sexual attraction: Tom was adopted at birth and met his half-sister three years ago for the first time. Despite the fact that they had both been married to their respective spouses for 15 years, and each had three children, within six weeks they had declared their love for each other. Tom says: "She emailed me one day and said she had 'weird feelings' about me and that was kind of an opening for me and I told her I loved her. We were devastated – this is crazy, how will this ever work? What were we going to do?"
The film follows Tom and Stefanie as they grapple with this question, and start moving towards a future when they might be together.
