Actress, writer, presenter and interactive dinner
party organiser Sadie Kaye can truly be described
as about 5' 9'' and wearing a particularly fetching
feather boa, which for medical reasons she can never
take off. If you see her, please phone Crimestoppers
immediately.
What's in your Favourites folder at the moment?
Origami
'cause this ancient Japanese art remains the best site
I know. Seriously, I like using my time online purposefully
so: hungover
for cures for those days after the night before, worlds
best bars for those days before the mornings after
and mingers,
where I've thoughtfully stuck most of my friends.
Are there any decent comedy sites out there?
Ha
ha bonk and Jib
jab are two of my personal favourites. Also check
out Sack
the Writer Jedishite is my favourite! The
Ali G
site is also pretty funny.
What do you think makes a good comedy site?
Anything that's fresh, funky and fun. It's got to be
easy to find your way around and have lots of things
to do and see.
Does the Internet provide a new way of promoting
comedy?
What, you mean because it's interactive, instantly accessible
and worldwide? Nah!
We've found it quite hard to find many women involved
in online comedy. Are we not looking in the right places
or what?
Behind every techie webmaster there's a league of hysterical
women taking the piss.
Tell us a bit about Dinner Party TV?
It's an interactive comedy drama which will launch on
Channel
4 on 18 March. There are 24 comic characters on
the website. You vote for your favourites and watch
the seven most popular take part in a comedy dinner
party. I play Marla, the woman behind the whole thing.
She spies on them, stalks them and generally makes their
lives hell, all for your amusement.
Who's behind it?
Err... a cameraman. And ETV Centre.
Anything you'd like us to plug while you're here?
Watch out for my Channel 4 takeover! I'll also be appearing
in the next series of Sex and the City as Carrie's kooky
English cousin, Suzy.
