Are there any decent comedy sites out there?
Good comedy sites, like good comedy magazines
are not easy to find. Sites that try to be funny are
rarely as funny as those that don't. We really enjoy
finding sites that are the work of sad and lonely people,
for whom the internet is a huge youth club, but for
dangerous inept adults rather than youths.
TV
Go Home has been constantly funny for years
Any sites you really hate?
Tesco's
website really gets my back up. Not a single
laugh.
Would Viz be as funny/funnier/different if
it were purely online?
I often think that if we were to set up Viz
now, as we did as teenagers in 1979, it would be a website
rather than a comic, but that is simply because it is
the medium of home-publication nowadays. I think it
could be just as funny, but probably not more so.
Does the Internet provide a new way of exploiting
comedy?
I don't think there is necessarily anything totally
new to be had out of it, but it can all be done a lot
cheaper, and on a cottage industry scale.
