The Seven Wonders of the Muslim World

Indonesia
Children wait as Muslims pray at the start of the Eid-al-Adha celebrations in Jakarta, Indonesia. Eid-al-Adha is the Muslim Feast of Sacrifice which marks the end of the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.
Islam in Indonesia is built on a long history of other religious influences. The indigenous animist religion was overlaid by Hinduism and Buddhism from the Indian subcontinent.
