The director: Peter Kosminsky

Multi award- winning writer and director Peter Kosminsky has been responsible for some of the UK’s most outstanding television dramas and films.

Previously for Channel 4, Peter’s critically acclaimed drama about Dr David Kelly, The Government Inspector, won a raft of BAFTAs including Best Single Drama, Best Actor and Best Writer.

Other TV Dramas include: No Child of Mine by Guy Hibbert, (BAFTA for Best Single Drama), Warriors by Leigh Jackson, (BAFTA for Best Serial) and The Project, (a two-part drama about New Labour, also by Leigh Jackson).


Peter’s film work includes two feature films for major Hollywood studios: Wuthering Heights (1992), starring Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche, and White Oleander (2002), starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Renée Zellweger.

Amongst the numerous awards received over his career, Peter was honoured in 1999 with The Alan Clarke Award for Outstanding Creative Contribution to Television from BAFTA and in 2006 he became a Fellow of the Royal Television Society.
