FILMFOUR LAB was launched in 1999 to be at the heart of Channel 4 and FilmFour's commitment to new and emergent talent.

The Lab aims to support the newest and most striking creative visions of tomorrow's cinema, launching the careers of filmmakers making distinctive films that enhance the choice offered to cinema audiences.

Joel Hopkins' BAFTA Award winning JUMP TOMORROW
Dom Rotheroe's BIFA Award winning MY BROTHER TOM
Andrew Kotting's THIS FILTHY EARTH.

The FilmFour Lab is also a significant investor in short film production, and has contributed funding to short films by Jeremy Dyson, Jodhi May, Jonathan Romney, Avie Luthra and Rankin during 2002.

The Lab currently partners with the New Cinema Fund on four short film schemes including Reasons to be Cheerful and Cinema Extreme.
