The sites
Site nominations for the Big Art Project flooded in from all over the UK. Twelve sites were shortlisted and the selection panellists visited them all, knocking on doors, talking to local people and getting a feel of the area and each site's potential. The difficult decision of selecting the final seven sites was then made.
