Kiki Smith and Lebbeus Woods: project for the 2004 Lapland Snow Show
Back

Project for the 2004 Lapland Snow Show by Kiki Smith and Lebbeus Woods using ice, fibre optics and stainless steel. The Snow Show, in northern Finland, brought together teams of artists and architects, working with volunteers to forge freestanding structures and installations of snow and ice. The works were restricted to 9 metres (30 feet) in height and no more than 93 square metres (1,000 square feet) of ground coverage; the only other constraint being the knowledge that as temperatures climbed the art would melt (photo: © Jeffrey Debany, 2004.
