T4 is the channel's flagship entertainment zone aimed at 16-34 year olds. As such it should reflect the world of our audience, either through the links or through the spine of the programming.
We want T4 to provide enough must see moments that we keep people from going out during the day on the weekend. Our output features a mix of new commissions, the best of US Drama & entertainment & another chance to see key C4 commissions such as Hollyoaks, as well as another opportunity to see the like of Rock School and Playing it Straight.
New programmes in 2005 that typified the output we would look to commission for the future included California Dreaming and H Side Story. These programmes were not only entertaining, but were also aspirational in tone & feel.

New programmes in 2006/07 that typified the output we would look to commission for the future included Musicool, Chancers (series 2) and Homemade. These programmes were not only entertaining, but were also aspirational in tone & feel.
As well as T4 we are also responsible for 4Music which will run for 40 Weeks of the year on Saturday nights. We are always looking for new music ideas, whether they are series, specials or one off events/ theme nights.
T4 is the branded zone on Saturdays and Sundays targeting 16-34 year olds from 9am. T4 is now established as the best weekend hangover cure in Britain, and we want to continue this fresh, dynamic, credible, contemporary approach to life and programming. We are looking for both long running commissions/series (of either 30 or 60 minute length) - with the possibility of a consecutive TX pattern split across/either Saturdays and Sundays and stand alone shows (30 or 60 minute length). Formats that have worked well in T4 include: Shipwrecked, Popworld, Chancers, H Side Story, California Dreaming and Celebrity Predictions, Faking It: The T4 Movie Specials, The Simple Life, Playing it Straight, Slave To Fashion, Homemade and Musicool. New programmes include Lily Allen: Still Alright and mobileAct: unsigned.
T4 also encompasses holiday mornings (7 weeks in Summer, 3 at Christmas, and 2 at Easter). We are looking to reinvigorate this area of the schedule, with some fresh new programming on modest budgets.
In addition we are also keen to develop our event portfolio beyond T4 on the Beach, V Festival, Isle Of Wight Festival, The Shockwaves NME Awards, Ibiza Rocks with Sony Ericsson, Fashion Rocks, BT Digital Music Awards, The Princes Trust Urban Music Festival and iTunes Festival.
To sum up we want T4 to be a zone where we make programmes that are noisy, high impact, must see events.
