T4 is Channel 4’s flagship entertainment zone aimed at 16-34 year olds, transmitting from 9am to 2pm on Saturdays and 9am to 5.30pm on Sundays (52 weeks of the year). It should reflect the world of our youthful audience, either through the presentation links or through the spine of programming.

We want T4 to provide enough must see moments that will ensure our audience stay in to watch over the weekend. Our output features a mix of new commissions, the best of US drama and entertainment, plus another chance to see key C4 commissions such as Hollyoaks and Big Brother, as well as US acquisitions such as Friends, Scrubs and One Tree Hill.

Programmes in 2008/2009 which typified the output included:Shipwrecked, Orange unsignedAct , Everybody Loves Lil Chris, Frock Me, 101 Challenges and Relentless . These programmes were not only entertaining, but were also aspirational in tone and feel.

T4 is now established as the best weekend hangover cure in Britain, and we want to continue this fresh, dynamic, credible, contemporary approach to life and programming. We are looking for both long running commissions/series (of either 30, 45 or 60 minutes in length) and stand alone shows (30 or 60 minutes in length). However, cost effective programming is key for us in the remainder of 2009 into 2010 and we are limited financially. We are only able to consider programmes which are low in cost or come with a substantial sponsor or other funding attached.

We want T4 to be a zone where we make programmes which are noisy, fresh and high impact, must see events but, with budgets which are achievable yet not prohibitive.
