More4 is the digital channel which Channel4 launched in October 2005 on Freeview and other digital platforms. It features brand new documentary, film, drama, news and current affairs and provides viewers with more of the high- quality, intelligent programming for which Channel4 is known and loved.
At the heart of the schedule is More 4 News, a daily news programme produced by ITN alongside Jon Stewart’s award-winning, The Daily Show.
The flagship documentaries strand True Stories brings to digital television the best of new international film-making. Every week the award-winning strand presents films about a vast range of subjects - the only criteria being that the films concentrate on the contemporary world and are made by world-class directors. Very often they are international pre-sales or acquisitions with some fully-funded commissions. Recently, we have had titles such as Enron, Smartest Guys in the Room, 51 Birch Street, Metallica: Some Kind of Monster and The Devil and Daniel Johnson. The Autumn 2007 Run includes the Sundance award-winner Ghosts of Abu Ghraib, Jesus Camp, Beyond Hatred and How Was Your Fish Today?.
Besides these regular features, prime-time on week nights is filled with documentaries - some acquired, others originally commissioned for More4. Viewers can catch up with the programmes they may have missed on the main channel, whether that be Cutting Edge or Grand Designs – but in general it will be programmes that have generated conversation, controversy and column inches!
More4 is aiming to push the boundaries of original and intelligent television, commenting on the world in which we live and stimulating debate.

How to send in ideas
True Stories:
We welcome projects at pre-production or rough cut stage. Please provide a treatment, plus trailer if available.
Screeners for acquisition are also welcomed but we would appreciate an email with a synopsis in the first instance.
We are looking for ideas which have an innovative and challenging take on the world. But above all we want you to be passionate about them.
