Paul : Thanks for logging on. I hope you all have some constructive comments for me.
Blithe : It's clear why you weren't 100% happy with the performances of Ricardo, Sandra and Suzanne but don't you think the phone vote is a bit harsh? If not, why didn't you put your own name into the hat to spice things up even more?
mary : paul i think that you should be in the vote i would vote you out
Paul : Because I didn't have to and obviously I employed the guys in the beginning for the 8-week period and I know that other people are available to come in. I think it would be good to mix it up for the Salon.
Paul chuckles at mary, thanks!
Ciara : Paul, lets get stuck in! Don't you think it's unfair that you insinuated with Ricardo and Sandra that due to their popularity they would get through the public vote, yet nothing was said to Suzanne - Don't you think that this shows perhaps you know more about where the vote is going to go?
jac : Can I ask a for tips about my hair rather then the salon
Paul : All I was trying to do was build their confidence up so that they had a good week this week. Suzanne is a stronger character.
Rosheen : Who would you personally like to leave the salon out of the three up for 'eviction'?
Paul : Oooh. I like them all. They have all done a good job up until now and I believe by putting 3 people in we're going to get the best out of the 2 people that stay and I think their performance will improve, the salon will improve and the team as a whole will improve.
JB007Craze : Do you like any of the girls in the salon in more than a friendly way?
Paul laughs
Paul : If you could mix and match them I might get something out of it. No, I'm a true professional in my job. They are there to do a job not to entertain me at the weekends.
Nic : do you think your favouritism for adee and tendancy to come down harsh on both ollie and Ricardo is some sort of sub-conscious homophobia?
Paul : I come down on people that are persistently late and not doing their job properly. Ricardo has turned a corner and is doing well now, Ollie didn't and so he's out. If Adee behaved in the same way he would get the same treatment.
Ann Phillips : Hi Paul, what a feeble excuse you gave Suzanne for her to go to the vote. She is a very professional person and good at her work. In my view, she would not be in the vote for Thursday.
Joey : paul, do you think it's fair to have Suzanne up for manager one week but then up for the boot shortly after?
Paul : They voted for the manager themselves. Suzanne has had a tough couple of weeks and she admitted that today, so I think I was right in making my decision.
lisa4 : Paul, would you personally of chose adee to be the manager last week or would you of chosen someone else?
Paul : I would have chosen Suzanne or Ricardo.
mattstevens : did u watch any of the action last week, i did, adee did very well as manager haveing a very relaxed attitude, when you first came back on sunday you walked around like you could not trust adee, was this because you also saw that he did a better job than you could ever do
LocoUK : Adee was a better Manager, can't we promote him and boot you out??
Paul : I think a manager is all about consistency. He did do a really good job. Anyone could manage that salon well in 5 days - it's not the Starship Enterprise, it's a hair salon. Ricardo and Suzanne would have done just as well.

debdotco : Do you care about what we, the viewing public, think of your management style?
Paul : No.
Leanne : What went through your head when that woman asked you out on national televeision?
Paul : Err... it was a bit like Blind Date - the curtain goes back and you're gutted! So, disappointed I guess. If it had been a babe it would have been a different matter.

sexy_minx Paul : I just heard what Ricardo was saying yesterday about the people 'upstairs' fixing the votes, i happen to believe him as they do on all reality TV shows such as Big Brother, can u definately say that they aren't?
Paul : We've got an independent adjudicator that specialises in monitoring and checking national votes and they will be liasing with Channel 4 to confirm that it is a fair vote. There's nothing to be gained by fixing the vote, I just think there's a little bit of paranoia going around. It's an independent phone line too, it's not a Channel 4 phone line or anything. You don't hear people on Big Brother kicking off.
Scattyblonde : Will you PLEASE answer my question!!!!!!!! I want to know why you justified putting Ricardo forward for the vote by saying he'd had warnings, yet you did not treat Adee in the same manner. I do not recall Suzanne & Sandra have ever received warnings. Please justify your explanation.
Paul : As a manager I decided that I wanted to put 3 people forward for a vote, it's down to the viewers to decide who goes. There's no right or wrong. Everybody's contracts are up this week. I could have let all of them go. It's obviously kept you interested in the programme Scattyblonde, otherwise you wouldn't be logging on to this today.
Chrissy123 : i think you shouldn’t swear to your employees and so u get the same respect back, a good salon don’t have the staff swearing
Paul : It was just a slip of the tongue if I did swear. I totally agree, but unless they are swearing and being rude to another person directly, then I'm not that bothered.
Anna : Paul, strange question but if you had to be one of the members of staff for the day who would you be?!
Paul : Good question... I'd be Carina or Vass because they are hard working, self-motivated and nice people to work around and I missed them when I was off. But I won't be dressing up as Carina or Vass!
tillie : I sent my question to the wrong section! Paul can you not see what a one trick pony Adee is? He swears in front of clients all the time and can only do one cut -are you afraid of him?(sorry if I have sent this message more than once)
Paul : I'm not afraid of him, if he's got one trick up his sleeve then he's only letting himself down and nobody else.

Paul : Erm, I really don't know. I think everybody in there has got their own fan base, it's down to the viewers to make that decision and get on and do it. I don't have a problem with anyone who stays to be honest, I like them all.

Paul : The funny thing is I've known Ricardo for years on the London club scene and I get on with him when he's a true professional in the salon. Obviously though you can't be best friends with everyone in the salon and I felt he let me down in the first 3 weeks.
JB007Craze : Do your like the attention you get for being on the tele?
Paul : Err..yes! I like to try and do a good job in there and to bring the best out in everyone. For me it's about doing my job well on tele and encouraging other people to get into this industry and we do get a lot of people e-mailing us telling us that they now want to be hairdressers which is great, for me that's the most important thing.
Lee_Roy_Brown : Hey Paul, will you and the staff be doing anything special for comic relief Paul?I think you should all dress as the opposite sex, that would be fun seeing Ricardo in mens clothes..
Paul laughs
Paul : We will be doing some stuff for Comic Relief but I'm not sure what yet. I look good in a dress anyway so it sounds good to me. Not sure about Vass though! He might look like Alexi Sayle.
lloyd : Does c4 give you full reign when making decisions.I think we should be told.
Paul : Yeah, I have a 99% say of what goes on in there.
Jon : Hi Paul. When Olly and the loser of the public vote leave, will they be replaced and will they be removed from the credits at the beginning of the programme?
Paul : They will be removed from the credits and they will be replaced. We have people that will come in and give as much to the programme as these guys have.
ian : how come adee's week as manager was full of difficult situations and your time has been relatively free of customer difficulties

Paul : I cannot set up people being off sick. They are members of the team - they just come in and do their jobs, if they are off sick I can't do anything about that. I heard about the dogs but you can deal with that. You can make your job easy or you can make it difficult.

Paul : My crack and sack is like a baby's bum! Smooooth!

Scattyblonde : Paul. I don't understand why you've been so harsh on Ollie. He's one of the most colourful characters in there, he's young and easily influenced and shouldn't be given such a hard time
leigh : how can olly learn anything when people like u get rid of him???
Paul : I actually believe that Ollie has learnt a lot from the time he's been in there, hopefully this will take him on to better things and I haven't sacked him and I could have easily done that, all I have done is not renewed his contract.
cher_da_love : Why have you never written any diary entries?
Paul : As manager I feel that my main role is to manage the staff. The diaries are great for the staff. For me it's about running the salon and doing what I do really well.
steph12 : paul i am enjoying seeing you back but are you making anyone else manager????
Paul : No, I'm back now to do my job. I took a week off to get time out to do things.
Adee did a good job and he manages the late nights now.
Derby : are u worried what about the effect on the losers career?
Paul : No...they have all been in here for 8 weeks, none of them have been sacked, this is important. This 8 weeks can only enhance their careers I think.
Lilyblue : Paul why do you always look so scruffy when you are pedantic about your staff dressing so immaculately when you always look so scruffy, surely as manager your should be setting an example.....
Paul : I shop on Bond Street and I spend a lot of money on my clothes, I must just be a fashion victim then.

Paul : Yes I stand by my decision. The best 2 will come through. Carry on watching, I really respect your comments and enjoy them, it's great that you guys have an input on the show. Stand by the people you want to stay in!
