Chat Ed : Lisa - Alex - welcome. Ready?
Alex Geikie : Alright mates how you doing?
Lisa Dickinson Gray : Hello everyone.
Chat Ed : Right. Let's get started.
Lisa Dickinson Gray : yeah!
clare : Have you both found the experiences have changed your life in anyway? If so, what way?
Alex Geikie : Yes definitely. I've kept my hair and the goatee, and I'm a much more confident person.
Lisa Dickinson Gray : I'd just like to say that I'm a much more confident person. And to be able to choose between accents and be ladylike and to be able to present myself better to new people when I meet them is great.
mackenzie_danner : Do you find yourselves slipping into the accents of your alter egos?
Lisa Dickinson Gray laughs
Lisa Dickinson Gray : Yes I do actually, more often than not! Funnily enough it's when I drink and when I was doing the programme it was when I had a drink that my northern accent came back.
Alex Geikie : Course I go geeeezaa! Once I've been on the piss a bit you know.
Lisa Dickinson Gray : He sounds like a gangstar!
Alex Geikie : Well you know darlin'!
Lisa Dickinson Gray : Alex I think you took it a bit too seriously.
Jack : Lisa, you didn't seem too happy (quite rightly) when the guy from the Daily Mail said women shouldn't have opinions. Did you argue more about that off camera?
Lisa Dickinson Gray : Erm... I didn't get into an argument with Tim although I think that if you go into a differing opinion you get into an argument anyway. So we didn't argue then. But I was right, I'm always right!
Lisa Dickinson Gray chuckles
pootle : Alex, did you find a new-found respect from your friends when you got back to public school?
Alex Geikie : Ooo erm... yes definitely. They all thought it was a real laugh spending all that time in Central London. They thought I looked like David Beckham to start with. When they heard my accent and saw the way I walked one of the girls that I know really well just screamed, and said I was to go back to the way I was!
Lisa Dickinson Gray : I thought you looked good!
Helen Maycock : Lisa, just watched the prog....you were brilliant......how on earth did you manage to keep your temper when dealing with these prats?
Lisa Dickinson Gray laughs
Lisa Dickinson Gray : Very difficult! I am a person with an opinion and I do like to speak my mind, but with everything I just had to keep my cool and I couldn't blow my cover. Although I did want to flip my lid!
Jenny : Alex you did really well it was great to watch you we were on the edge of our seats urging you to fool everyone, great going.
Jean-Paul : Alex, how has this experience affected your relationship with your boyfriend (I am gay and my boyfriend fancies you now!)
Alex Geikie laughs
Alex Geikie : Oh good how old is he! It's been great, I'm now in Australia with him. I'm having a great time. We are getting on like a house on fire still having been going out for over eighteen months now.
phil73 : Good Evening Lady Gray :)...just wondering if your friends thought you had lost your Northern accent when you came back?
Lisa Dickinson Gray : Yes they did. They didn't like it. They said that it made me sound and act and look a lot older than what I actually am. They wanted the old Lisa back. It was difficult when I came back because I didn't know how to speak. I'd been pulled up so much on how to speak, so I was a bit mixed up and confused on how to speak for quite some time at home.
PaulF : Alex, the best part of your programme for me was when you came out to the guys, and they suggested that you had preconceived ideas about them. Did you think they would be homophobic?
Alex Geikie : To be quite honest I'm not sure what I thought. When I met them everyone seemed to be brick shit houses! I had no idea what they thought or who they were. So I thought I'd much rather get to know them first before they judged me. But as it was, they didn't judge me at all - they were great.
bud : Lisa, have you got into the habit of wearing makeup at breakfast when you're not going anywhere, or did that tip not stick?
Lisa Dickinson Gray giggles
Lisa Dickinson Gray : Definitely NOT! They didn't show enough of it! I did complain! And also I was told I had to have a feel good factor in and out. I didn't feel good out when I had the make-up on but they told me I had to protect my skin from the pollution in London.
Petev : Hi Lisa. Have you still found yourself doing any of the things that you were 'taught' for the programme?
Lisa Dickinson Gray : When I sit and cross my legs I think to myself I should not be doing this.
Alex Geikie : Just make sure you don't do a Basic Instinct!
Chat Ed giggles
Lisa Dickinson Gray : The shoes went. They were a no go disaster area!
Lisa Dickinson Gray laughs
manovalerio : Alex what did you think when the guys asked you to fight the woman?
Alex Geikie : Well, I didn't have a problem with fighting a woman because she looked quite mean and she'd done it all before and when it came to it she gave me a right royal kicking! It was only when I came home and all my mates laughed at me for getting kicked in by a woman.
Leia : aww poor baby
Alex Geikie laughs
Alex Geikie : But she did do it so well!
Alex Geikie laughs
Alex Geikie : Thanks Leia - that's so sweet. Come and rub it better!
Chat Ed : Right, one for both of you now...
bun : what do you really think of your mentors - honestly?
Lisa Dickinson Gray : Fantastic!
Alex Geikie : I became really good friends with them. I've been to see them since. Can I just say it was all Tony's mess! Not mine.
timothy : LOL
Alex Geikie : I cleaned up at every opportunity possible in that flat!
mackenzie_danner : Alex and Lisa, you guys obviously won the hearts of everyone watching...do you plan to do anything else for TV...like, Alex could have a Karaoke show!!! (sorry)
Alex Geikie chuckles
Alex Geikie : That's so mean!!
DanTan : or be a TV presenter hehe
Alex Geikie : What do you think Lisa?
Lisa Dickinson Gray : I want to be on TV!!
Steven : I think Lisa is a star in the making..
Alex Geikie : I'd love to have a go but I'd do it as a laugh. I'll do anything now!
Lisa Dickinson Gray : I'm an actress anyway! I've got an audition on Thursday in London - so fingers crossed for me - that's for a film.
Alex Geikie : Oooooo, cool.
timo : it was some of the best tv I have seen for a while - well done the two of you!
Lisa Dickinson Gray : Excellent.
Alex Geikie : Fabulous!
Noel Hrvy : Hear Hear!!
lynda kivlin : Lisa, do you think in 'normal' society, you would've been obliged to mention the huge spot on your dinner party friend's chin?
Lisa Dickinson Gray chuckles
danny : LOL @ lynda kivlin!!! classic
Lisa Dickinson Gray : I think I would have said a lot of things if I wasn't in London society. I would definitely have been more open, but I just didn't want to blow my cover after working so hard for four weeks.
Graham : Alex - was it as fun as it looked expressing an unexplored side of your personality - and Lisa, was it just frustrating having to inhibit your natural self - or was it fun too?
Alex Geikie : I had the BEST time of my life making this show. I made some great friends, and it has changed me a lot and I had an absolute ball! I've even kept the kick boxing going.
Lisa Dickinson Gray : I had a great time. It was a fantastic opportunity and experience. Even though everybody picked on me and I keep in touch with them all. I'll remember it for the rest of my life.
tangerine : Lisa, what do you miss about high-society life?
Lisa Dickinson Gray : Free champagne!
Leia : i'd like to ask alex, how he felt when he was left on his own at the door of the london club for the first time?
Alex Geikie : I felt terrified. The worst one was on the door in Hackney before the test - there was a problem inside and I was left on the door for 10 minutes on my own. THAT was scary!! Very very scary.
Chat Ed : Lots of people have been asking this one...
phil73 : So did they let you keep the clothes and shoes Lisa?
Lisa Dickinson Gray : The shoes - yes! Which have got cobwebs on. I got to keep a jacket.
Gobstopper : Lisa, you make me proud to be a northerner.....everyone loved you! you're awesome for staying true to yourself in a difficult social setting, alex you are a sound bloke!!! u were so convincing and willing to give it a go....are you both now more open-minded towards ppl of different walks of life, have any of your attitudes changed?
Lisa Dickinson Gray : My attitude hasn't changed in respect of myself. I don't judge anyone I never have done I never will do.
mirry : good northern lass!
Lisa Dickinson Gray : I just returned to my own life after that four weeks and I still like everybody!
Alex Geikie : I always like to think that I get on with everyone but having done the programme I found that I can get on with anyone and everyone much more easily than I did before. I don't take people at face value.
Lucy : were there ever occasions where you slipped up and thought you'd definitely be caught out as the impostor?
Lisa Dickinson Gray : Yes, twice. Once on the test the gentleman sat on my right, sat back and said, 'Northern accent'. I said have you got a problem with that! He said 'no it's the most beautiful accent I've ever heard'.
Alex Geikie : He wanted to get into your pants!
Chat Ed : lol
Lisa Dickinson Gray : Also at the Glenda Jackson party... I was asked if Tim and I were an item, I said no and that we had known each other all our lives then Tim turned to her and said we'd only known each other for a couple of weeks!
Chat Ed : oops :)
caine : nightmare
MAMACITA : RichEditWindow
James P : Doh!
Lisa Dickinson Gray : Then at the country weekend where we were playing the game - Tim said something about all those speech lesson...
Katy : That was clever
Frutitcake : oops...........again!
Lisa Dickinson Gray : ...and I just looked and said I was brushing up on the Queens English.
Chat Ed : heh. Well done.
Lisa Dickinson Gray : Then quickly said - I'm going to bed!
Chat Ed : And you Alex?
Alex Geikie : There were lots of times when I was worried. When I went to the Arsenal cafe I had to order a full breakfast and some tea and I had to shout it across the cafe. This was one of my big tests, and it came out as...
Alex Geikie puts on a posh voice
Alex Geikie : "Excuuuuuse meeee, could I have tooo sausages and some bacon"... then I realised and shouted "and some sugar please geeza!" and the woman just looked at me and laughed.
Lucy : :o) arghhhh
Shelja : hehe good one mate!
Alex Geikie : Sublime to the ridiculous!
Shelja : Alex what I really admired was how you were mentally sooooooo strong on the big night, and you just really blew everyone away. What the hell was going on in your head?
Alex Geikie : Thanks! I was only on the door for forty-five minutes. And I was the last one to go through so I was patrolling all evening inside and I'd never worked in such a big place with so many people. The worst thing about the whole evening was that I didn't have a radio mic and I REALLY REALLY wanted one!
Alex Geikie laughs
Lisa Dickinson Gray : heee heee
Chat Ed : OK folks, we've done more than our half hour, so here's the last question...
lynda kivlin : How long ago were the shows filmed and how on earth did you both get involved? An ad in the local paper or something?
Lisa Dickinson Gray : I heard it from a friend.
Alex Geikie : It was very freaky, one of my housemates had got an e-mail and he was throwing it out and I came out of the shower with wet feet and I trod on it. I gave them a call and they said they had a gap that afternoon so I went to see them. Very freaky!
Frutitcake : fate!
Terry : destiny!!!
Chat Ed : That's it everyone! Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did - and thanks for coming, Lisa and
Alex, that was great.
