Chat Ed : Welcome to this evening's FAIRY GODFATHERS webchat with Dale and Elaine! This week, the wives of Yorkshire men Dale Jackson and Sean Hornby decide to hand over their husbands to Nick and Colin. Taxi driver Sean's a workaholic who likes to buy his clothes where he gets his groceries. Dale's a couch potato with a collection of jumpers that would shame Alan Partridge. For one week, Colin lives with Dale and Nick lives with Sean. How will Dale and Sean each cope living with a gay man - and vice versa? Will Colin and Nick be able to transform the images and attitudes of these traditional men and teach them to improve their relationships? Can two gay men work their magic and convert Dale and Sean back into the caring, sharing husbands their wives first fell in love with? Let’s ask them!…

Pink Geranium : Dale - well done! How nervous were you before the show started?
Dale : I wasn’t nervous at all. I totally enjoyed every minute of it and I would do it again tomorrow.
Drab Bob : Elaine - Has Dale kept up the good work?
Nicks : How do we get our hubbys to change? Some subtle tips?
Elaine : Hmmm…He did, but I need to keep up at him.
paul : do yu think the changes will be permanent?
Elaine : He has changed from doing nothing to a little bit more. I think the programme has given me some good tips. Getting someone else in to fix your bloke is the best way!
Suzie : lol
Elaine : The changes will be permanent only if you keep on at him.
crw : Elaine - You must have found it odd . You seemed to make a joke of it. Are u ok with it now ?
Elaine : I am fine. He had not realised the amount of work I do. Now he does, it is getting better.
matthew : What did you think of his new look?
Elaine : I thought he looked like a cross between Tom Cruise and Harrison Ford!
Pink Geranium : Heh Dale, did you enjoy it - we did!
spice178 : colin seemed really nice , did u miss him when he left?
Elaine : Yes I enjoyed -it was one of the best weeks of my life - going around with the cameras and everything was fantastic. Yeh Colin was really nice, I am keeping in touch with him through texts.
spice178 : Colin seems to have a scarf fetish, Dale did he try to get you to wear one too?
Dale : I noticed that - he did wear them quite a lot, but I did not get to wear one at all.
cherrynicola : dale...how are you coping without your jumpers??
Rob : Did you keep any of those hideous jumpers?
Dale : Well that was something that was just a joke. The cameraman actually took some home with him
Dale laughs
Dale : Everything you saw being put in the bag was thrown out.
Hayley : dale have you been for any more facials?
Tara : what type of facial and body scrubs would you recommend?
Dale : Yes I have - I treated us on Valentines Day. We had the full monty, feet and everything! And the Jacuzzi.
Dale laughs
Dale : I have not got a clue which ones to recommend, I liked the ones they used - but they cannot improve on perfection!
Sean : How did you get involved with the program ?
Dale : I heard it advertised on the radio and I just thought I fitted the bill.
Sharon Ruston : Who's idea was it yours or Elaine's?
Dale : Totally mine. I had to get her in on it kicking and screaming.
Leece : well done you, mister..!
Hayley : so are you still going to the gym?
Debs : Well done Dale for realising your ways...I was SO proud of you
Dale : Umm I am going away in June and am trying for a six-pack, I should get one definitely - I hope!
don : so who does the most work around the house now that you're a changed man?
spice178 : are you still addicted to the ironing and has Elaine found she has more free time now that she's not doing it?
Dale : It is 50/50 now. I do more now. She doe not trust me with the washing though.
Elaine laughs
Dale : I would not say I am addicted to it, but my shirts have never looked better. Elaine has a lot more free time now.
Ebi : dale did your friends take the mickey out of you for getting lessons on women from a gay man?
naughtynikki : did you get any stick of the mates in the pub ?
Dale : The fact they were gay had nothing to do with them taking the mickey. They totally took the mickey completely anyway.
Lianne and Arianna : Wow i loved it!! i loved the lil man wi the glasses he is sooo cute!
FireGoddess : Dale and Elaine, did you miss each other being apart for a week?
Dale : Elaine says she did not.
Elaine : I didn’t!
Elaine laughs
Dale : But I totally missed her.

Dale : And I am not a little man with glasses - I am five foot nine!
botrotwot : dale i love your glasses, you rule
Dale : I still have the glasses.
Robby : you looked ickle on the tv :o)
Dale : They were made by Elton John's designer!
don : dale, do you still keep in touch with colin?
Christine : weyhey! designer specs!
Dale : Yeh we text regularly, at least once a week. We just talk about his fashion business. He is doing all kinds of ranges and interesting things, so I keep in touch with him about that.
fairy g : dale have u meet up with sean since filming? is he still keeping up the good work?
Dale : I see him a lot, but he is absolutely not keeping up with it - he is totally the same as he was before!
Christine : oh no!
Dale : There is not a cat in hells chance of him changing.
Chelsea : Do you think that any man can be changed for the better with a bit of camping up?
Dale : If they want to. If they do not then they are just wasting their time.
welshcake : Has the show changed the both of you?
Hollow : Has your marriage become stronger since the show
Dale : Urrm… It has helped. I think we are a lot closer now and the marriage has definitely become stronger.
Elaine : Yup a definite improvement.
Beth : awwwwwwwww
Claire C : Dale - do you find it easier to express your feelings now?
lorraine : do you open up more now?
Dale : I would not say so. It is a man thing I think. Unless I turn gay I do not think I ever will. I find it very, very hard.

Dale : OK I hope, it is something I have longed for, I have always wanted to be famous.
FireGoddess : Are you glad that you took part in the show?
Dale : It is probably the best thing I have ever done, apart from marry Elaine.
