Flamer : Will you be bringing out an album, and if so, when?
pasco: so then richard when will we be seeing a tour of england and when will you be releasing an album????
Richard Blackwood : Flamer - album's called 'You'll Love To Hate This' and. it'll be out the 14th September. Tour of England is next year, pasco - right now I'm doing little roadshows around the country, so the tour's next year.

Matt Edwards : Would you be interested in presenting the Big Breakfast?
Richard Blackwood : I haven't been asked to present the Big Breakfast. I wouldn't mind doing it but you have to wake up at like three in the morning. And that's too much work at that time of the morning!

Richard Blackwood : I think he's a wicked lyricist, definitely. And I hope he can keep it. Maintain it.
Matt Edwards : Richard, Will you be doing any duets with anybody? Maybe Craig David?
CC : Richard-We all know that YOU tha man, but what do you think of Craig David?

Richard Blackwood : Hmm... Put it this way - I wanna do some duets next year, on the next album, and we're definitely doing a track with Craig David. Also we're doing a track with Wayne from Another Level.
EssexLady : who are your musical influences?
fay : i would like to ask who was his idol when he was little?
Richard Blackwood : Musical influences... quite old now but people like George Clinton and Miles Davis.

Richard Blackwood : Also Public Enemy. I was a big fan of NWA. My idol? I'd say... Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy, and I'm a big fan of Martin Lawrence and Chris Tucker.
lizziec : how do you like to be compared to Will Smith?
Richard Blackwood : I'm cool with that cos he's a good friend of mine, y'know... and there're many people you can be compared to, and I'd rather be compared to Will Smith than the local milkman, y'know?
Mz_BlackWax_uk : Richard if i wanted to get into the Media industry how do you think would be the best way to go about it?
Wiredman : How did you get your first appearance on TV?
Richard Blackwood : Best way to get in - get a showreel together and send it to ALL the companies you want to work for. My first appearance was on The Real McCoy, and I performed in the Comedy Club and the producers from the Real McCoy saw me there.
The Man Who : You've Done Presenting, You've done music do you have any other ambitions for example would you like to do some acting?
Richard Blackwood : Yes! I wanna do comedy acting, definitely. That is my main goal, to break into Hollywood.
babe2000 : rich do ya think u will eva go out with someone famous e.g britney spears?

Richard Blackwood : Britney Spears is too young for me man! I'd be done for child abuse... but yeah - I wouldn't mind going out with someone famous.

Richard Blackwood : Best guest - LL Cool J... Mel B, TQ and... hrm... Chris Eubanks! Inspiration - just... I'm mad, right :) I just come up with mad ideas. And also another great guest was Jerry Springer I got him to say the word mother......!

Richard Blackwood : Coolio. He was nice, very nice before the interview, but when the cameras went on, he just turned into something very nasty.
Ammmmmmmmmy : are many guests like that?
Richard Blackwood : Yeahhh. There are a lot of guests that believe their own hype... and it's the wrong thing to do, trust me.
The Man Who : Who would you thank if you won an award for your music or comedy etc?
Richard Blackwood : I would thank my family and friends. And I would thank the British public for accepting me for the way I am.
fay : Do u ever get fed up of the media intrusion or do u believe it comes with the job??
Richard Blackwood : I get fed up, yeah! But I do believe it comes with the job. Luckily they're not like taking pictures outside my bedroom like when I'm going to the toilet... taking pictures of Richard Blackwood's dingdong!

Richard Blackwood : I see a fellow Jamaican! I'm a half-country half-city slicker. My mum's from Kingston, and my dad is from St Elizabeth.

Richard Blackwood : Best thing is you don't need to pay for nothing!

Richard Blackwood : Jamaica - Montego Bay, and I had to get up at 4 am so it wasn't that nice!

Richard Blackwood : Favourite has to be June Sarpong. And June will be getting a record deal, very soon.

Richard Blackwood : Erm... not really... my fans have been quite cool. They're very real, and I like that.

Richard Blackwood : I'm English. Of Jamaican descent, but I'm English. I have a British passport and I'm proud of it.

Richard Blackwood : Not wanting to fail. Ah! Years ago a friend of mine called Gary, I asked him to lend me 20p to get on the bus and he said to me, 'why is it that you never have your own money?' and that day I knew I'd never let no-one say that to me again. So that's my greatest inspiration :)
