Lucy : How long does it take for your hair to be done? i would love it that way!!
Emily Corrie : I listen to all sorts of music from the Beatles to Skunk Anansie to Destiny's Child, and music from around the world. The look I have in As If is totally different to my normal look. The hair takes seven hours to put in which is great fun!

Emily Corrie : Well Sam, in that case I don't think you will love me in real life, because I'm not at all like her, I don't have dreadlocks and I DO actually wear the odd skirt from time to time!
SoozIsSoHot : Emily, How did you get the part of Sooz in As If?
Emily Corrie : About three years ago I had an audition to do the pilot for As If. Last summer I was travelling in Nepal and I got an e-mail from the producers saying it was all happening, so I had to get back over here, it was all very exciting.
alice : Do you still do schoolwork around your acting career?
Scorpio : How old r u in real life if its not too cheeky to ask?

Emily Corrie : I'm 22, so therefore I'm not at school. I did do my A levels and then I went to drama school for about six months before getting my first job in TV.
EmilyDaSmyth : Hey, what advice would you give for people trying to get into acting?
Emily Corrie : Blimey! That's a difficult one. I was lucky enough to have quite a few contacts in the business who could point me in the right direction. But keep trying and don't give up. Try and get as many agents to see your work as possible. Good luck!

Emily Corrie : Thank god we all get on really really well, especially with Paul who plays Jamie. If we hadn't got on as well as we did then I don't think the shoot would have been half as pleasurable as it was. I didn't really get to kiss Jamie properly so I'd have to say Rob. But really, to be fair, I'd have to say my boyfriend.

Emily Corrie : In some aspects yes but not really though because each show is written by the writers. However if we think a line sounds better another way and the director agrees with us, then yeah.

Amanda : what's the best thing about playing sooz?
Emily Corrie : I'd have to say the clothes that I get to wear and the general look. I get approached by lots of different kinds of people. It's pretty funny and interesting and it's so different to what I usually look like, so it's fun to experience.
Hana : have you ever been out (apart from when filming) with the make up and hair of Sooz?
Emily Corrie : Actually once I did. I had to go straight from work to a pool competition. I had my own clothes but the hair and make up still on, so I got pretty funny looks.
becca : what other acting work have you done?
Satan23 : have you ever been in anything else, or anything coming up?
Emily Corrie : I played Ray Winston's daughter in Births, Marriages and Deaths. I also played a prostitute in The Dark Room and I had a small part in Daziel and Pascoe. My main achievement was the female lead in a feature film with Max Beesley called The Last Minute, which is due out sometime this year, hopefully.
Roseanne : Do you think 'As If' is a good view of a real 17 year old's life?
SoozIsSoHot : Emily, what storyline did you most enjoy filming?
Emily Corrie : I think As If is very true to life. Both in the way it is filmed and its stories. I did enjoy filming the whole trying to pop my cherry with Jonno bit.

Gail : What is the most challenging part of Sooz's character to portray?
Emily Corrie : Probably the conflict between her exterior hardness and strength compared with her interior emotional turmoil and self confidence.
Moritura : have you any ambitions outside of acting?
Emily Corrie : Yeah, quite a few actually, not that I'll get to fulfil all of them! I hope to travel more, and I used to be good at pottery at school and I've always thought about taking that up again. I love acting though. I'd like to do more theatre acting and maybe a bit of singing.
RobinCM : What does your boyfriend think of how you look when playing Sooz?
Mary : c'mon, tell us how ya do your hair!
flooby47 : how did you do your hair and how do u look after it?
Emily Corrie : My boyfriend doesn't really appreciate that look. The dreadlocks are permanent whilst I'm filming, so they're in for two months. I'm redheaded now with blonde and caramel streaks.

Emily Corrie : And my hair wasn't ruined at all from the dreadlocks, in fact it was quite well protected within them.
GemmaUK : Have you ever looked at an As If script and thought 'no way! I'm not doing THAT!' haha good luck with everything !
Emily Corrie : No, not really, I've never objected to the script to the point where I've refused to act any of it. It's usually more of a 'oh my god I have to do that?!'
Peyote : Are there plans for a second series?
Vahri : How many episodes r there left in this series? Will there definitely be a next series?
Emily Corrie : There's four left in series one and we start filming series two in about two weeks, which I'm really looking forward to. The second series will have 36 episodes and the shoot will last six months.

gary : How do you get your mind off the role when shooting is finished?
Emily Corrie : Believe me, after two months filming, sixteen hours a day, for six days a week I find it really easy to relax with my own pleasures!

Emily Corrie : No I don't. In fact I'm completely computer illiterate and I all I know how to do is send an e-mail and talk to nice people like you.

Emily Corrie : It's funny that you should ask that because today was the first time that someone approached me in the street. I have to admit I do look totally different without the dreads, piercings and make up. Which is quite nice for me I have to say.

Emily Corrie : A lot of the same questions that you guys are asking me is what they say. Mainly about the hair and I usually respond that I have to be the first in the studio, usually by 5:45am to even begin to get ready for 8am, which is when we have to be on set.

ASIFSOOZ!!!! : plz answer this question : who did u most look up to at a young age?
Emily Corrie : Hmm good one...I suppose I've always looked up to my older brothers who are a good 10 years older than me and have lived life in a way that I hope to do myself one day, e.g. travelling a lot, making big efforts in what they want to do career-wise, but never giving up the time to have a good party when needs be.
JamieB : What areas of London are 'As If' filmed in? And which bit of London do you like most??
Ruth : do you and the cast hang out together after filming?
Emily Corrie : It's filmed around Notting Hill Gate and Ladbroke Grove and Camden etc. Filming is much more exciting when you get to see those sort of people walking around all day. Me and the cast get together whenever we can to party or chill out with each other as our real selves.

Emily Corrie : To stay in work! I'd love to work abroad, maybe Australia or Africa or somewhere like that. I'd love to star in a West End musical and tour Europe with it. But for now, to keep going and take every opportunity as it comes and I hope you guys do the same.
