cantrisist : how did you get started with as if?
Caroline Chikeze : It all came about via my agent who informed me about the show. I went along for the first audition and I was hideous, I was terrible in it! That was for the pilot and I didn't get it basically so I forgot all about it, and then they said that it had been commissioned and would I like to try for the part of Sasha. So I thought I'd better make amends for the first awful audition and I got the part!
ana : hey caroline, i LOVE as if, i think ur doing a fantastico job!;) what drama traning did you have?
Caroline Chikeze : As I child I attended the Italia Conte Stage School, did some A Levels and then went on to the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in Wandsworth where I did a 3 year acting course.
gestalt : Your hair is amazing. How do you get it to do that? Is it some form of epoxy resin?
Caroline Chikeze : Of what!?
Caroline Chikeze laughs
Caroline Chikeze : Thank you. It basically involved a lot of gel and an old toothbrush to sculpt it into the right shape!
becky : who is the best snogger on as if?
Caroline Chikeze : It has to be the guy who plays Riggs, his real name is Ray Fearon.
as_if : wots gonna happen wid the riggs storyline, and how do u feel bout cheating on rob
Caroline Chikeze : I can't say too much about what's going to happen, but let's just say it all comes to a head. And as for the cheating, as Caroline I'd feel awful, but as Sasha she feels as though Rob is holding her back and she wants to make it by any means necessary.
kella : as has a lot of cutting edge story lines . which was the hardest for you personally to be part of
Caroline Chikeze : The whole cheating on Rob storyline because that meant that Sasha became isolated from the group. I had a lot of scenes not involving the others and that was weird considering I'd spent so much time with them previously.
!Nemesis! : Do you find it difficult now being famous and constanly getting recognised?
Caroline Chikeze : Not at all. I've been very lucky, in that the people that approach me are always lovely and supportive, so it's been quite nice, so far!
Eliza : who is the best person to work along side with?p.s I think your queen of the screen, and extra cool!
Caroline Chikeze : Aww thank you! Everybody. The whole cast were amazing, but I've got 2 best friends as a result of filming it - they are Jemima Rooper who plays Nikki and a new character, Mark, played by Callum Blue.
Leannelollypop : Are you anything like your character in real life?
Caroline Chikeze chuckles
Caroline Chikeze : No, I don't think I am. All my friends who have known me for years and years say the same - thank God!
Katy : If u could be anywhere in the world now and with anyone who and where would it be????? p.s biggg uppp 2 as if xxx
Caroline Chikeze : I'd be somewhere sunny, probably L.A and I'd be with my boyfriend.
james : So what juicy gossip about what's coming up can you let us in on?!!!
Caroline Chikeze : ooh, erm... Sasha gets her comeuppance. She gets away with it for a while, but just when she thinks she's safe, it all blows up in her face and she's left to deal with the consequences
yana : do u hav any tips 4 avoiding temptation whilst in a long term relationship?
Caroline Chikeze laughs
Caroline Chikeze : Let me think... To be honest I feel that if you are in a long-term relationship with someone that you truly love, there really won't be that much temptation anyway. In other words if he or she is 'the one' then you won't be tempted, I guess!
kat_lil_devil : do you have any tips for anyone (ME) who wants to be an actress?
Caroline Chikeze : I'd say that you've got to have a lot of self-belief because that will keep you going when things are not necessarily going to plan. Be determined too and never give up.
dave : what was the worst thing thats gone wrong during filming
Caroline Chikeze : The worst thing that happened didn't happen to me, but to the Director who always operated the 2nd camera. One day he was filming backwards and he fell down the stairs and he damaged his kidney. He had to have a few days off work to recover.
star : sasha wears some really kool things do u like them and do u get 2 pick some of wot u wear?
Caroline Chikeze : Yeah, I like them for Sasha, but not necessarily for myself. When we finished filming we get to choose from them at half price, but I didn't get any from the last series.
Kissyfur : Have/are their any real life romances between the AS If stars?
Caroline Chikeze : Ooh. No there aren't actually. We all had partners from the beginning.
richard : is there going to be a third series of the show?
Caroline Chikeze : I don't know at the moment.
kella : what does your boyfriend think of the intimate sceens in as if ?
Caroline Chikeze : He's not too pleased!
Caroline Chikeze chuckles
Caroline Chikeze : But he's cool with it. He's managed to get over that side of the pressure. He had no choice really.
Mike : are Alex and Dan really gay - I love them!!
Caroline Chikeze : No, they're not, they're straight.
Elizabeth : In as if you want to persue a music career. Would you like to do that in real life?
Caroline Chikeze : Yeah, it's definitely something that I've thought about and will pursue in the next couple of years.
Kaz : It you could have three wishes, what would they be?
Caroline Chikeze : Oh God! World peace would be one. To be somewhere hot and sunny all year round. And the third wish would be to have a million more wishes.
glitter : Do you find it really hard going into character? How do you prepare yourself for going into 'Sasha'mode?
Caroline Chikeze : Well luckily, as I said earlier, the clothes really reflect Sasha. So getting into costume was the first step of getting into character, then make-up and my co-stars, just all put me in the mood for my character.
Shell13 : Do you have any bad habits?

Caroline Chikeze : Yes! I bite my nails.
ana : what kind of music do u listen to?
Caroline Chikeze : I listen to a variety from pop to R 'n' B. I like Lauren Hill and Usher - they are a couple of my favourites.
Destiny Anne : caroline, have you got any plans to make a movie in the near future?
Caroline Chikeze : Ooh yeah, I'd love to make a movie. I'm looking at a few scripts at the moment.
_I_LOVE_SASHA_ : WHO DO YOU THINK WILL WIN IN POP IDOL?
Caroline Chikeze : Oohh I want it to be Darius! I WANT Darius to win! I love him!!! Me and Jemima, who plays Nikki, are die hard Darius fans - seriously!
helen : how does sooze do all her dreads? does she have them in real life?
Caroline Chikeze : No she doesn't have real dreads. It takes about 6 hours of torture getting her hair pulled and she can't stand them!
JemE : Have any of your friends or family ever been upset or offended by anything on the show? And a big thank you to the script writers for generally coming up with good storylines and tackling real issues in a decent manner
Caroline Chikeze : My family are always horrified whenever Sasha is mean to Rob! The worst thing would have to be whilst we are making it, doing 15 hour days and the best thing is the end product and seeing how our hard work paid off.
