Jemima Rooper : Hello all you guys out there. Glad you are watching the show and I hope I can speak reasonably interestingly for you!
Maz : Jemima do you think as if is ment to be based on real life issues or is it just real life issues exaggerated?
Jemima Rooper : I think it is a little exaggerated; the speed of the show and the colours make it more exciting. As I'm the youngest member of the cast the others were always asking me if this was the sort of stuff I was doing and I just reply, yes it is!
Jamez : How did you get to be on the show?
Jemima Rooper : I'm with an agency and had an audition last summer. Then about 2 days later they called me up for the part which was very nice for me.
P!nk : did u go 2 stage skool
Jemima Rooper : I went to Sylvia Young Theatre School part time i.e. only on Saturdays, and I was at normal school until last summer when I did my A Levels.
sunshine : whats the worst thing you've had to do in an audition?
Jemima Rooper : Ooh...the worst thing...erm. I think it was for a commercial where I had to put on an all in one green leotard and pretend to be Peter Pan. There were holes in this thing in very inappropriate places! It was very embarrassing.
Lozenger : I'm sure I have recognised you from somewhere else, have you been in any other TV shows?
Jemima Rooper : Yes, I've been doing TV for about 6 years. I was in the Railway Children (the remake) and the BBC's last costume drama, Love in a Cold Climate, and other things that I can't remember!

peter : What would you do if you weren't acting? (Hi Jemima!)
Hippi_Girl : nicki do u want to do acting all your life or something else like singing?
Jemima Rooper : I'd love to be singing, but apart from that, anything else that I could do bores me. Acting is great; I really love it.
Mike : Have You got any hopes to be in movies in the future and who would you like to star alongside???
Jemima Rooper : I would like to do movies but I don't think I'd like to do the Hollywood thing. I'd like to work with Judy Dench and Maggie Smith. I'd love to be in one of the Harry Potter movies too, but I think I'm too old.
Edgie : Who do you most admire?
Jemima Rooper : I admire Julia Roberts a lot because she's had a very very long career and she had good recognition at the beginning of it. But because certain films flopped she went down in estimation a bit, but now she is back on top. I think she handles it all very well.
as If fan : do you like the part you play and is nicki anything like u?
Jemima Rooper laughs
Jemima Rooper : I love the part I play. I think she's great but I hope I'm nothing like her. She's fun to play but not the nicest of people, so I hope I'm not like that.
Afro Dude : Is there going to be another series of As If when this one is over
Jemima Rooper : Oh yes! We start shooting tomorrow for 5 and a half months!
jigglypuff : what do you think of nikki's dress sense
Jemima Rooper : It's very interesting... We have fabulous costume designers. It's not stuff I'd wear myself but it suits the character.
amy a : where abouts in london is As-If filmed? is it really as 'hip' an area as it makes out to be?
Jemima Rooper : Yes, it's a very hip area where our cafe is and it's very busy.
kelly : whats the most embarrassing thing thats happened on the set to AS IF??
Jemima Rooper : Ooh! Our director likes playing tricks on everyone. They have a little TV camera which often gets poked up our noses etc. Someone once took a still of me with my hair in curlers and looking like a witch. Brian hooked up the picture to the computer on my onset bedroom and then filmed me as I turned around a spotted it there while everyone had been laughing. I was shrieking and cursing!
mojo_kitten : what kinda music you into?
Jemima Rooper : Loads of different stuff. I like Morcheeba though, good chill out music, and I'm loving the Sugar Babes at the minute. I think they are a very good pop band.
Hannah : do you get on with all the other as if characters?
katie prynne : Which character do you have the most laughs with?????
Jemima Rooper : I love all of them to bits. I'd say Caroline who plays Sasha as we are both very loud and very annoying.
Ping Pong : Are you related to the girl that plays Emily in Hollyoaks? You look just like her

Jemima Rooper : No I'm not
IndieGirl : what really annoys you?
Jemima Rooper : ohh ... Liz Hurley trying to act. I'll meet her now and she'll punch my lights out!
mishi : did you ever think you would become a teen role model?
Jemima Rooper : Ooh no, never. I'm totally the wrong person to be a teen role model. I just hope people see Nicki for what she is and don't try and copy her too much.
elliothunt : who was your best snog in As If
Jemima Rooper : Ah ha! Probably Caroline! Because I knew her. The guys were all strangers so it was embarrassing and uncomfortable.
Jodie4Joel : What are you scared of?
Jemima Rooper : Spiders and sharks and being out of work!
andyellis00 : what are your career ambitions ???
Jemima Rooper : Just to do everything I can. I'm very greedy I want to do anything and everything.
nba : What are you non-career ambitions?
Jemima Rooper : To shovel poo with a spade.

peter : What most makes you laugh?
Jemima Rooper : Paul Chequer who plays Jamie.
cath : what do you think it is about As If that makes it so addictive?
Jemima Rooper : I think it's just because once you get into the characters, they're so different and not always that nice. It's addictive in that way as you want to see what happens.
The_Blair_Witch : What made you decide you wanted to get into acting? Who is your idol?
Jemima Rooper : I don't even remember knowing when I wanted to act. I just always remember wanting to. Again, Judy Dench and Maggie Smith, people like that are my idols. It's so hard to have one person!
Vanessa : What hours do you work?
Jemima Rooper : Horrendous hours! Get up at 5am and get home at 9pm or 10pm
kelly : very LONG hours!!!
Jemima Rooper : yes kelly!
mandle : have you ever made a big descision that you regreted later in life?
Jemima Rooper : No, mandle I don't think I have. You can't really regret anything, it's not worth it, you just have to get on with it
melissa : what was the worst job u ever had?!!!!!
Jemima Rooper : Oh, erm probably this thing called Urban Gothic which was a great job with great people, but on the first day I had to lie dead for 5 hours. I was so cold and very ill for the rest of it.
fiona : The episode that was shown today looked like it was really fun to shoot, Which episode did you like filming most?
Jemima Rooper : I think the episode that will be on next, episode 17, which is one of Nicki's episodes. There are a lot of funny things that happen in it and it was just great fun. Today's was probably the hardest, so it's interesting that it looked fun!
