Ever-dedicated to the uncovering of new talent, we went to see 4unsigned's current featured band, Citadels, play at London's Metro. We are excited about these guys and, based on this performance, it's an excitement that's wholly justified.

The Metro, a venue with a history of hosting early gigs by Kings of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs and Bloc Party, among others,  is dark and claustrophobic - perfect soil conditions for young bands to blossom.

Two songs in for Citadels and it was clear the London five-piece's songs are thrilling and complex constructions. Dark and fuzzy guitars proved the perfect foil for Stef Ferguson's towering vocals, fused with a welcome burst of 80s-influenced pop and quirkily-sweet singing from keyboardist Lucy Taylor. Their set showcased a talent for song writing that completely belies their one year together.
Record companies will be circling the band like hungry wolves, imminently.
