Toot toot. That's the sound of me blowing the trumpet - not for me, but for you.

Regular FourDocs watchers are hopefully seeing the steady stream of uploads going on site which have been submitted for the 3 Minute Wonder competition we just ran. And they are so ace! The theme of Storytelling/Outside Story has obviously really got you thinking and there's some great leftfield approaches to it - not that you had to be leftfield to get us excited, just that we really like to see a a range of documentary styles and substances.

We got approximately a billion submissions (give or take a few), so apologies if you're patiently waiting for yours to appear on FourDocs. We like to give each film a few hours on the front page, so we're staggering their publishing. But don't worry, if we've approved it, yours will appear and be given its time in the sun.

And we also know you'll all be patiently waiting the announcement of who's going on TV in the slot - well, we're discussing it as I write, so the decision is imminent. The docs will still be broadcast at the end of Jan in 3MW, so that's an indication that a decision is imminent. But, and I truly mean this, it isn't all about who we choose, it's about having a brilliant selection of storytelling docs on FourDocs for the world to watch which represent a patchwork of people, places and subjects. We now have so many superb documentaries on site and I urge urge urge you to watch them and think about them and comment on them and support each other.

Cos it's only by doing that that more and more doc as good as yours will get made and seen!

Ooh and also, as always, we like to know what you think of all the new docs. They're whizzing up quickly and it's often easy to miss them but if you sort them by upload date in the index then you can go through them all systematically!
