Raw Cuts on TV this week

This week the 3MW strand is hosting Raw Cuts, the NSPCC documentary projects. The theme was IDENTITY and thousands of young people entered video phone footage showing how they live their lives and what makes them unique. 8 of the most inspired were picked, and they were taken to London and paired up with a hot new director to take part in some collaborative filmmaking. Over the week, each team produced a MicroDoc to communicate an aspect of their personal identity. After we watched them, the directors had to pitch to Kate Vogel. 4 were commissioned, based on the suitability of extending the idea to 3 minutes and making good prime time tv.
