Producing your own docs

Charlie Phillips   19 March 2008, 3:51 PM

Want to become a producer, or have more control over your doc by producing it through your own company? Then look no further than DFG's Producer's Week.

Run by DFG - the UK's leading provider of industry-focussed training in documentary filmmaking, and a member of the elite Skillset Media Academy Network - this marvel of a one-week course will give you up-to-the minute information on industry demand and opportunities.

Producer's Week will equip you to face the full spectrum of issues you will encounter as a producer, from setting up your company to improving your pitching technique, building relationships with broadcasters, production management issues, funding models and strategies for survival as a micro company.

It is led by Natasha Dack and Nikki Parrott, of Tigerlily Films. Guest speakers who have previously shared their insight with participants include representatives of Channel 4; Colin Luke and Andy Glynne (EPs, Mosaic Films); and Franny Armstrong (Spanner Films, McLibel).

Places are limited so early booking is recommend. To book your place please contact DFG on 020 7249 6600 or email training@dfgdocs.com

Freelance rate: 600 GBP + VAT *

Corporate rate: 950 GBP + VAT
