BECTA is a union for people working in broadcasting, film, theatre,
entertainment, leisure, interactive media etc. They run sessions on
skills, knowledge and rights in within the industry. At tomorrow's fair
there are lots of practical session on money issues - such as accessing
European funding and looking after your own tax matters, advice on how
to direct actors and get your work up on digital platforms. I'm on a
panel where 5 participants each get 1 minute to pitch a programme idea,
and then have to answer on the spot questions from me and some other professionals.
You need to register on-line first, but the whole day is free!
Hopefully see some of you there.
