A healer.

It's just after another rain storm and Leandro and I are trying to find a healer we've been told about.
His house is near the little harbour, where the Katatal stands. He lives in a small wooden house in a small group. It looks incredibly rural and I don't know how we can do this film without reverting to the very basic Amazon ethnographical point making.

He's got a calm and pleasant nature though and interesting facial characteristics. He is trying to protect his indian heritage and his tribes identity. He comes from near the border with Venezuela but is in Barcelas so that his kids an go to school. He speaks 5 languages including that of his tribe. He is having a meeting with remaining members of his tribe 20 minutes away up a small subsidiary river. He invites us to join him and film if we like.

This isn't the kind of film I want to make here. I don't feel like it's something I know about or have the will to explore. However intoxicating the idea is.
