Yes, MONUMENTAL, it's astounding how people can think the reason people dislike Charlie stems from a "North/South" divide mentality. There's a multitude of reasons why I dislike Charlie and, TBH, geography NEVER factored as one of the reasons.
Just like Hira said several weeks ago, no one can sustain fake "nice" in the house 24/7 because sooner or later their mask will drop. Charlie's mask began to slip when he doused Angel, the "pranks" became more calculated, his demeanour became more waspish and his childishness gave way to aggressiveness> I really don't like any of the remaining HM's, but in terms of "least offensive" I'd choose Sophie to win.
In actual fact, Lisa initiated a concerted campaign to victimise Freddie, it started with her dominating proceedings at Sophia's eviction and over the course of the next five weeks Lisa ensnared Kris & Karly into the sustained campaign, and, interestingly, it seemed to cease once Kris & Karly were evicted. Then it started all over again with Bea and Charlie. The reason Freddie got evicted was because he survived all those weeks and his relief was misconstrued by many as over confidence. Be that as it may, that cannot detract from the fact Freddie was systematically bullied from several factions of the house.
People have been increasingly seeing cracks in Charlie's "fluffy & light" veneer, starting with him dousing Angel, picking up from Kris in terms of victimising Freddie, the consistent overstepping of boundaries disguised as "pranks", shifting allegiances at the 1st sign another HM is dropped from "Team Popular", the hypocracy in him lambasting Siavash the other week for not nominating & getting into a flap this week because people chose TO nominate...tot it up and you get a pretty unpalatable person.
Get the performing seals known as Charlie & Rodrigo out, I would sooner watch Sophie re-arrange her extensions over the next few days than have to tolerate their "look at meeeee!!!" antics.
Ha Ha! What with the consistent rule breaking it's only fitting that the prize money be significantly reduced, I was sick to the back teeth of HM's flagrantly "picking and choosing" what rules to adhere to. They signed up knowing these rules were in place, if they break them, they deserve to be penalised.
Why has no one from the gay scene in Newcastle come forward in droves to defend Charlie on here if he's oh, so genuine? If he behaves like that in real life, I would think he'd be treated like a pariah in the local pubs/clubs....
Yes FANGLER, isn't it annoying how Charlie keeps attempting to gauge when the camera is on him? Not exactly "sublime" and I hope the resident BB armchair psych calls him up on it when he's finally out of the house.
If you look at footage from the beginning of this series when most of the HM's went in, it's quite harrowing to see how they all seemed to have rapidly aged in the course of only 3 months :-0
Well, this year's BB was the death knell. No interactive/live feeds, dead eyed contestants, failing to intervene during the most blatant bullying. I dread to think what BB11 will be like, will the makers put any real effort into it or will it be "going through the motions" as this year's one currently is?
In sense of all fairness the HM's should have been shown how each of them have been less than perfect - Rodrigo kicking off in the Diary Room. Lisa bullying Freddie, Sophie "supporting" Marcus in the Diary Room then stabbing him in the back, David bitching about people, Charlie being superficially nice then being appalling towards people --THIS is the stuff they need to see.
