There's no doubt that Marcus will be secretly overjoyed that Tom has walked out, but he still had to play it cool. Chatting to Lisa in the Garden first thing, he expressed concern that Dogface might have been affected by what Tom had said to her before he left.
"I wonder if Sophie's going to be upset today?" said Marcus thoughtfully. "He told her a load of **** before he went out the door," he added, recalling Tom's departure.
"Oh god, what did he say to her?" asked Lisa who'd been in bed when everything kicked off.
"He said that she shouldn't be with Kris and that she would be a lot better off if she was single," explained Marcus, "and that Kris is no good and that he might have already ****** up things between them already."
"He obviously knows something," said Lisa.
"Or he's lying just to get her out," added Marcus. "To be honest, I don't think he was a nice person. Everything he did in here had a negative thing attached to it. He didn't like Noirin at all. He might have fancied her physically, but personality wise he hated her," Marcus ranted.
Thankfuly, Lisa sensed that Marcus was steering towards a Noirin chat and put him straight again. "Is Sophie okay?" she asked.
"I said to her last night that it was just his opinion, but you know how she worries. And he knows how she worries, so he knew what he was doing," said Marcus with a scowl.
That girl's gonna need some TLC today…
