Geoff McFetridge,
Champion Graphics
Geoff McFetridge lives and works in Los Angeles, California. After
completing the Graduate Graphics program at Cal Arts he spent a
year and a half as art director of Grand Royal magazine (issues
#3 and #4).
He founded the studio "Champion Graphics" in 1996 with
the goal of creating diverse and personal work. With this goal in
mind he has spent the past six years dividing his time between print
design, video projects, motion graphics and increasingly, art shows.
Some of his clients include; Stussy, Burton Snowboards,
Milk Fed, Marc Jacobs, And A, XLarge, Girl Skateboards, Gasbook,
ESPN and Nike. Some of his most recognisable works are the poster
and title sequence for the film "The Virgin Suicides"
and his series of award winning spots for the Winter Xgames featuring
cartoon animals being slaughtered.
He has recently directed video's for the bands Plaid and Simian.
He has had solo shows at George's Gallery; Los Angeles, Houston;
Seattle, Colette;Paris and Parco Gallery; Tokyo. Recently he has
created station Id's for MTV and a shoe and watch for Nike.
A book of his work is being published by Gasbook in Japan.
