4Talent is delighted to announce that the winner of PILOT is 25 year-old Bryony Ive.

Bryony spent two months developing her project Stacked with Glasgow-based production company Brocken Spectre, before pitching it to Channel 4 Commissioners. Stacked is now in pre-production and will be broadcast on Channel 4 in August 2008. The runners-up were Mark Brotherhood and Move On Up with Watch, and Nick Younger and Synchronicity Films with Hitgirl.

PILOT was an opportunity for drama screenwriters to win the chance to have their work produced and screened on Channel 4. 12 writers were selected, out of around 1200 applications, to be hot-housed in one of three Scottish independent production companies, where mentoring producers and Channel 4 script editors helped them develop their series idea and complete a first draft script. After eight weeks of paid training, the writers pitched to a selection panel, who chose one idea from each production team. These three creative partnerships were then invited to pitch for a £90,000 Channel 4 commission to produce a pilot episode of their drama series, including a fee for the winning writer to complete a final draft script.
