Talent: Opportunities talent schemes

E STINGS

E STINGS is a unique opportunity for talented filmmakers, animators and designers to get their ideas on screen by making a 'sting' (i.e. a mini brand trailer) for E4. Last year's E STINGS included peeing Chihuahuas, lawnmower-racing pensioners and a sleazy character with a big moustache about to do naughty things with an inflatable E4 logo.

For 2007, E4 want the competition to be bigger and better than ever. Submit as many as you like, on any subject, with any technique. All you have to do is download the E4 logo and sound bites and get creative.

What you get:

Twenty-five of the best pieces are broadcast on E4. The winners will be announced at a party at the Channel 4 building to which selected entrants will be invited. The outright winner is given a £15,000 commission to produce further work for the channel.

Then what?

There's no commitment to commission any more work from you, although it's hoped the experience and contacts you've gained will put you in good stead for the future.

Deadline

The deadline for 2007 has now passed - watch this space for 2008 entries. For more details on the scheme, go to channel4.com/estings.
