FILMMAKERS TO WORK WITH YOUNG PEOPLE

Details

SHOT IN THE DARK: EDUCATION works closely with Leeds Young People's Film Festival to run filmmaking workshops and productions in and around the Leeds area.

Over the past twelve months we have worked with over 150 young people and successfully produced fifteen short films and animations.

We are looking to increase our pool of freelance filmmakers to work with young people on a project-by-project basis. We are particularly keen to hear from filmmakers with experience working with young people, although this is not essential if the filmmaker has a proven track record of producing quality work.

We are also keen to work with those who are organised, self-motivated and have shown leadership qualities.

We are particularly looking for camera and sound crew (and especially all-round filmmakers who have experience functioning in both capacities) but we are also interested in hearing from writers, production designers, production managers, editors and composers.

Rates of pay for filmmakers, depending on experience, are between £120 - £180 per day for Group Leaders / Lead Artists (who will be expected to plan and lead sessions and groups) and £70 - £100 per day for Filmmaking Assistants / Support Artists (who will assist Group Leaders and young people). When contacting us please mention whether or not you are CRB cleared.

Email CVs to Joe Hepworth.
