WHO'S LAUGHING NOW
Details
Whos Laughing Now - a new and regularly updated website featuring reviews, interviews and previews written by two main contributors - booking agent and promoter Rich Batsford and journalist and editor Simon Harper - as well as upcoming listings, comedy news and funny clips.
Rich and Simon are keen to contact other current or would-be comedy writers who might be interesting in contributing to the site. Experience isnt necessary, just a keen interest in comedy and an interest in writing reviews of comedy shows - in return for free tickets to the events of course!
This new website is intended to help stimulate the comedy scene in Birmingham by providing a focus and forum for anyone interested in contributing what separates a giggle from a groan, and which are the most exciting acts appearing in the region each week.
All Birmingham based promoters are welcome to submit previews of their events and Simon Harper's extensive experience of interviewing artists for various publications including the Birmingham Post and Bearded Magazine should guarantee some interesting personal comedic insights.
Rich Batsford will also be writing up his visits to international comedy festivals such as Edinburgh, Adelaide and Melbourne.
The site also features a "Laughs" page in which the contributors turn a discerning eye towards the massive quantities of comedy clips now available on the internet and picks out some recommendations for all to enjoy.
Get in touch if you're interested in contributing.
