Comedy Police Review

8 Out of 10 Cats

The Suspect: 8 Out of 10 Cats

Comedy Police Officer Kate Robinson investigated comedy panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats on C4 10pm Thursdays. Here's her report:

Am I the only one that constantly misses half the programme?

The jokes are so thick and fast I am still busy laughing at Jimmy's first opening joke (or fact ) that when the audience begins laughing at the 2nd gag I've missed it as my (and my flat mates) laughter is too loud.

I have been very surprised however to read that many other reviewers find it woeful, devoid of any humour and brainless?! I have to say at 10:30pm on a Thursday evening with 1 day to go to the weekend I am never feeling particularly on the ball and a bit of easy going; brainless humour is quite easy on the mind.

With a mix of opinions polls, surveys and statistics it never fails to amuse and is fast paced and at the right level to keep me listening and involved.

Recent guest highlights include Dave Spikey, David Walliams and Vic Reeves. Comedy geniuses all tied together by a Cambridge educated comedian. What could be funnier I hear you ask?

It's like an elaboration of Family Fortunes (and if you've never Googled Family Fortune funnies to see the ridiculous answers that some people came out with when surveyed then you've missed a treat... do it... do it now!)

So 5 comedians, 2 random easy target c-list celebrities, random opinion polls and ridiculous unexpected answers and ta-da *jazz hands* you've got yourself a nice easy watching Thursday night comedy.

Those of you that do find it dull though why not switch over to some light hearted Panorama fun?
