Taking inspiration from the formal terraced gardens of Italy, and my favourite garden at Alnwick, Northumberland, our garden makes the most of the wonderful views. From the conservatory, there is a small courtyard with topiary lined steps leading to a long narrow lawn. This sits in front of the mixed border (shown) before further steps lead to the top terrace with dining area and extended view.
