Reading Mon Amour

Reading is seeing a growth in its public profile as London exiles forced out by London's high prices take advantage of the fast rail links into the Capital and the rapidly regenerating city centre. Not surprisingly the investor market is just as healthy, and competition between developers to attract purchasers to the low maintenance benefits of new homes rather than traditional stock is leading to an ever wider range of buyer incentives being offered.

Banner Homes is offering various incentives to attract buyers to its new homes at Victoria Square in Reading. The developer has created three different packages to suit first time buyers, investors and buy to let purchasers. From paying stamp duty to fitting a fridge freezer, Banner is handing over more than just house keys on completion of its new homes.

Banner has devised the incentive scheme to attract buyers who are drawn to new build homes but uncertain whether to take the plunge and buy one. While lower maintenance costs and lower heating bills involved in buying new are appealing for some customers, it can take an extra little something to thoroughly convince them that new build is best.

The first package, option one, is aimed at first time buyers. Banner Homes will pay stamp duty, up to 2%, your legal costs up to £1,000 and all removal costs, thereby taking a big chunk out of the expense of moving into a new home.

The second package, is aimed at the buy to let market. This package is designed to take all the stress out of buying a new home, by providing and fitting the carpets, curtains, a security alarm and even a fridge freezer; all essential yet expensive items for a buy to let property. Victoria Square is very well located for the Royal Berkshire Hospital and Reading University, thereby apealing to parents of students and nurses.

The final package is aimed at investors and contains a guaranteed income in the form of a contribution towards the mortgage of £800 for the first year of purchase.

Victoria Square is a development of ten spacious two bedroom apartments, available in a range of designs, with private parking. All the properties are fitted with the latest CAT5 cabling and TV satellite distribution, classic white bathroom suites and kitchens with attractive ceramic floor tiling. Bedrooms contain fitted wardrobes, and there is polished brass door furniture fitted throughout. For security, communal entrance doors are fitted with an audio entry system. Prices at Victoria Square range from £174,950 to £265,000.
