Win The Judith Blacklock Encyclopedia Of Flower Design
Inspired by the floral arrangements in Kirstie's Homemade Home? You can win a book by the show's flower designer, Judith Blacklock, to help you create your own fabulous arrangements. The Judith Blacklock Encyclopedia Of Flower Design (£25, The Flower Press) covers all aspects of flower arranging, from advice on choosing colour schemes and techniques, lessons and inspiration for creating bouquets and arrangements, to a plant directory that helps you decide which plants to put with which.
As Judith says, 'In order to create good designs, you first need to know and understand: the elements and principles of design - these I have explained logically so that they are easy to understand and put into practice; the flowers and foliage that are available to you; the mechanics - which is jargon for what will keep your stems in place, such as floral foam, and how to combine your flowers and foliage together successfully.'
