Kirstie and Phil help Emma and Jeremy Tolhurst, who wanted to downsize from their luxurious five-bed family house in Fulham to a two-bed renovation wreck, with profit potential, in the country.
Emma and Jeremy Tolhurst love living in London, so why do they want to downsize? They've just had their first child, Florence, so they want to slow down to a quieter pace in the country. They also need to recoup the £45,000 they over-invested on their Fulham house.
But one home is not enough. These two still want a crash pad in London for £150,000, while for the country home they've got £200,000 and want Kirstie and Phil to search in Oxfordshire, an hour from the city.
Although they have a separate £70,000 renovation budget, the search really is tough. If a place has potential, it's been snapped up already and, with property development professionals sniffing around, the dynamic duo have their work cut out.
Eventually, after looking at four country homes across Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Berkshire, and two tiny flats in London, the couple decide to take another path altogether. One a little more closer to home...
