Following a degree in journalism specialising in print and broadcasting Zilpah worked as a researcher on Rough Guide to the World where she got the travelling bug and went backpacking around Australia and south-east Asia. On her return Zilpah worked on The Times and in the marketing department.
Deciding she had had enough and wanted to move on, Zilpah went on to the internet to look for a job, put in the wrong website address and stumbled across a site asking for her details if she was interested in working in television. She filled out the form, learned about a programme looking for a new presenter and two weeks later was on a plane to France to present her first daytime series of A Place in the Sun.
Zilpah is now the presenter of the daytime series of A Place in the Sun for Channel 4 and Celebrity Place in the Sun
