Last year we took up the challenge to help two couples make two big moves. In Norwich we had some first time buyers who were love birds but worriers, and in Sutton Coldfield we were charged with helping a young family move in with mum. Twelve months on we’re back to see how they are getting on.
Our first set of househunters were Debs and Hardeep. They were a happy young family on the verge of a life changing move. Hardeep’s mum was moving in, so there were three generations to keep happy. Easy, right? Maybe not, because Sutton Coldfield is one of the most coveted locations in the Midlands and even with a budget of around £400,000, it’s surprising how little is available.
Our second set of househunters were first time buyers Helen and Paul. They loved and lost three houses all because they couldn’t get over the buyer’s biggest hurdle – the survey. As first time buyers they were fragile and a bit frightened so it was down to the dynamic duo to hold their hands through this daunting process.
With a budget of £165,000 they were after a three bed house no more than a 20 minute walk from Norwich city centre. Good luck…!
