This week Kirstie and Phil are heading to the unofficial capital of the north, Newcastle, where they'll be searching out properties for two very different sets of couples: One a super organised pair of first time buyers, and the other a not so ready family in a chain...
Our first set of house hunters are Marketing coordinator Kerry Ellis and care worker Michael Byrne, who at the tender ages of 25 and 26 are already planning to buy their first property together (a full 8 years ahead of the national average!)
They're desperate to find a city centre flat that is as far away from student bed-sit land as they can manage, and with a healthy £150,000 budget, a two bedroom flat does not seem out of the question.
However, Newcastle is a thriving University city with a staggering 1 in 12 of the population being students. Phil is going to have to be at the top of his game to help them snap up a property with so many student landlords circling.

Speaking of games, our second set of househunters includes a semi-professional rugby player turned entrepreneur, and a full time mum with a 16 month old daughter, Amelie. With another baby on the way, and their current 5-bedroom Tynemouth house still on the market, it looks like we've got a race against time to get them in before 3 becomes 4.
The Whiteheads moved into their stylish home 2 years ago, but quickly discovered that kids and interior design are not a perfect mix. They're now looking for somewhere more practical, and have £310,000 to spend on a 4-bedroom property.
They're pretty flexible over the location, as long as it's within 30 minutes of the city centre, but a garden's a must, and David wants somewhere he can add value and make a bit of money. A large man and a growing family - let's hope that they don't have giant expectations to match!
