In the end, after losing out on the renovation project and their other favoured house, they got me to stick in an asking price bid on the 1800s semi on the main road and £425,000 later it’s theirs. And not a moment too soon! Baby Jacob arrived in the house just 6 days after Sophie and Ben… Sorry, Mum and Dad!
With so much on their plate, it must be a relief that they were beaten to the detached house in need of modernisation. Living on a building site with a young baby would have been a totally different story to moving straight in to their spacious and well appointed family home.
Godalming was where they wanted to be, and we managed to get them the right house in the right location. So now Ben, Sophie and Jacob can enjoy their new home.
Hedging your bets can really pay off, as Ben and Sophie showed. By staying calm in a frenzied market they’ve not only secured a great house, but also got it at a fantastic price. Job done!
