The Presenters: Bunny Guinness
Bunny Guinness

Following an honours degree in horticulture from Reading University, Bunny went on to complete a post graduate diploma in Landscape Architecture before qualifying as a chartered Landscape Architect. She worked for several large and small practices and plcs concentrating on the design of commercial spaces before setting up her own Landscape Design practice in 1987.

Since then her bias has been towards private garden design - she has won six gold medals for her gardens at Chelsea. Journalistic work also occupies a little of her time: she writes a weekly column for the Sunday Telegraph, 'Garden Solutions', and writes monthly for 'BBC Gardeners’ World'.

She has been a regular panellist for Radio 4’s 'Gardeners' Question Time' for over six years, she has presented three series of 'Guinness in the Garden' for ITV Central and sometimes London where her own designs were featured, and she has appeared in many other programmes for other channels including BBC2, Channel 4 and ITV . She has written three books, including 'Family Gardens' the first covering the subject, which is a best seller with co-editions produced in many countries. She has co-authored several BBC gardening books too.

She is currently working on several interesting schemes including: a large complex of over thirty individual gardens surrounded by parkland in northern Japan which is part of a new development with restaurants and a garden centre (due to open to the public in April 2006), up grading the gardens at Rockingham Castle, a riverside garden for the public besides a Tai Restaurant on a barge in Peterborough and a child friendly garden for a local primary school.

Bunny has also been asked to judge outdoor gardens for the RHS at Hampton Court 2005.
