The Carmarthen Eco House
Andrew and Lowri Davies embarked on a project to build an environmentally friendly farmhouse in rural Wales. Encouraged by their architect, they opted for some state-of-the-art experimental building materials. The result is a cool, contemporary house that’s also affordable and very energy-efficient.
Despite budget problems throughout the project, Andrew and Lowri were adamant about sticking to their guns on all aspects of sustainability and the result is a modern marvel of a house whose carbon footprint is as small as the overspend is large. Despite overspend, this house still proves that eco chic can be cheap.
