This is Tamzin, who decided only recently that property would be her root to riches. She bought seven apartments at a cost of over a million pounds, and is currently making a loss on every single one of her rental properties. Without being able to cover the mortgages on her properties Tamzin is hoping to sell at a whopping loss of over £400,000. With prices in freefall due to oversupply, city centre apartments in all but a few places are proving to be virtually impossible to shift, leaving Tamzin caught between in a classic catch 22 situation. If house prices had continued to rise Tamzin would have been very wealthy indeed, but as the market crumbles she’s left feeling the pinch. Her own family home may even be repossessed.
