George’s master plan will start in the former living area – this room is long but narrow and their not enough space for a family of four. He’ll build an extension onto the back of the house - the doors will fold back opening the house onto the garden so that at last they can make the most of their huge outdoor space.
The biggest problem with the house is its lack of storage space. George hopes to convert the old kitchen into an ultra modern utility room and downstairs loo – a must for a family of four. The tumble drier will be brought in from the cold and Jo will never need to go into the garden for her pots and pans again!
The extension will give them enough room for a decent sized kitchen too. George plans to turn the tiny impractical galley size one into a room the famliy can begin to enjoy again.
