Click on the images below to load up the room planner with that view and then use the camera to look around, or swap the furniture for something that’s more your style!
Mandy and Andy’s 1950s house may look small from the front, but it’s built on a steep hill, so at the back there’s a lot of space.
The largest room downstairs is the lounge. Big it may be, but it’s still an awkward space. Long and thin, it’s really difficult to place furniture in this room and the doorway in the middle of the wall also limits how you can use the space.
Removing two existing walls will add new space for a fabulous U-shaped kitchen. The old kitchen will become a dining room with large doors out on to the patio, making the most of the view. George then plans to knock through a supporting wall into the lounge to create an open-plan, L-shaped space, with kitchen, dining and living space.
