As well as using the apples to feed the horses and themselves, they also have a yearly ritual of cider making. Last autumn’s pressing has now been fermenting for a year and needs decanting into bottles.
And with fifty bottles of sparkling cider in the cellar, the Turnbulls are about to discover whether they’ve got anything to celebrate - as Gregory finds out whether he’s done well enough to move up a year at school.
