  1. Good Morning/Evening..I am pleased to have the opporunity to apply to appear on the "Hotel Rescue" tv programme. I have some experience in the hotel industry as i am a builder and have worked on hotels and guesthouses in Brighton for many years. I have found a property which i feel would be suitable to be transformed into a luxury hotel, it is currently a non trading public house with letting rooms, the pub is in Bognor Regis and is called The Berkeley. A little about myself...i am a single father of two sons having brought up my eldest from the age of 7, he is now in the army, this fills me with equal amounts of worry and pride, my youngest is due to leave school next year an i hope he will be my chef in the hotel as he loves cooking. My working career started at the age of 12, i got a job on Brigton seafront in one of the many cafe's evenings and weekends, i started out clearing tables, making sandwiches, teas, coffees etc. I used to have to sell ices on the beach out of a wooden box around my neck and had to rush back at times to prevent the ices from melting. I became friends with the owners Mr & Mrs Davis and Mr Davis took me to work on St Thomas's Hospital in London where he had the plumbing contract, travelling up on train and tube at the age of 15 was a little daunting to say the least.I remember John Wayne flming the film "Branigan" at te hospital. Following this i left school to become a cabinet maker, i bought my woodwork teachers moped to get me about, i then progressed into carpentry, joinery and finally where i am now as a builder. I look forward to hering from you in the near future. Regards. Patrick.
