In 2003, Steve and Emma were looking for a home in Wales, a crash pad in Bristol where Steve worked and - most importantly - a stable for their horse, Phoenix Park.
For the home in Wales they wanted two or three bedrooms, at least five acres of good pasture and a range of outbuildings: stables, a garage and workshop. In the city, Steve only needed one bedroom and a parking space within thirty minutes of work in Bristol.
Their total relocation budget was £250,000 - originally this meant £180,000 for the country property and £70,000 for the crash pad. But as time went on, things started to change...
Six years on, Phil Spencer went back to find out how they'd settled into country life.
