Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsopp make a return visit with mother and daughter duo Sara and Gill Currie. Previously Sara and Gill were ready for a complete change of pace, and were chasing their dream of buying a rural pub with B&B. But their property hunt was not an easy one, covering a 1,000-square-mile area. Kirstie and Phil searched high and low for picturesque pubs in three of the most expensive counties in Britain.
Sara and Gill's £500,000 budget only stretched so far; and while the business needed to be the priority, they couldn't compromise on the living accommodation. Things were becoming desperate, but then Kirstie and Phil found a village pub bursting with potential, and all the living space they were after. A deal was done and the move went ahead. Now Kirstie's back to find out if life behind the bar has turned out how they hoped it would.
